On June 10, the JM Smucker Company held their earnings question-and-answer session after releasing earnings for the fourth quarter of their fiscal year ending April 30, 2025. Leaders from JM Smucker cited high coffee price struggles and tariff-related costs in the earnings call while officials running a Canadian supermarket dropped Folgers coffee from their shelves.

Sugar On the Chopping Block for SNAP Program Following MAHA Commission

On May 22, US President Donald Trump spoke alongside Agriculture Secretary, Brooke Rollins, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and others during a MAHA [Make America Healthy Again] Commission Event.

Dr. Casey Means Appointed to US Surgeon General

On May 8, Dr. Casey Means was appointed to be the next US Surgeon General by US President Trump, after a recommendation from US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. A forthcoming Senate hearing will occur to vote whether to confirm Means to this position, Expana has reported.
