The Andersons Advances Houston Port Expansion Amid Shifting Grain Market Conditions
The Andersons, Inc., a North American agriculture company operating in the agribusiness and renewables sectors, is continuing construction on its Houston port project, which is intended to increase the efficiency and capacity of its grain operations and expand export potential for U.S. soybean meal.
The company stated that this expansion could be supported by potential changes to the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs). Completion of the project is expected by mid-2026.

Brazil’s Pork, Chicken and Egg Exports Increase in February
Brazilian exports of eggs, pork, and chicken meat recorded significant growth in February, according to data from the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).
Egg Exports Rise 57.5%
Brazilian egg exports, including fresh and processed products, totaled 2,527 metric tons in February, a 57.5% increase compared to 1,604 metric tons in the same period last year. Export revenue rose 63.2%, reaching $4.94 million from $3.02 million.

Lar Agroindustrial Plans New Investments in Protein and Grains for 2025
Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative has announced plans to allocate resources towards new protein production units and to modernise its processing plants for poultry, pork, and soy, according to local media outlet Agfeed.
In 2024, Lar invested BRL 1 billion, with the majority directed to its soybean crushing operations, including the BRL 280 million acquisition of a soybean crushing plant from Copagril.
