It's official—Tyson Foods, Inc. has formally announced the opening of its new 400,000-square-foot production facility located in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
According to the company, the plant will support a significant expansion of its bacon production capabilities and is expected to produce two million pounds per week of Jimmy Dean® and Wright® Brand bacon for retail and foodservice.

More than 200 workers who clean meat plants have unionized after their employer paid U.S. fines for hiring children to do dangerous jobs sanitizing slaughterhouses, the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) International Union said on Thursday.
