ASPCA Launches Direct Support Grant to Assist with New World Screwworm Outbreak

In response to the outbreak of New World Screwworm (NWS) in the U.S., the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has announced up to $500,000 in emergency funding that will be available through its New World Screwworm Direct Support Grant to provide support for prevention and treatment efforts in dogs, cats, and equines in states with infestations. Funding will be distributed on a rolling basis. The application is open now through October 31, 2026, or until funds are expended, whichever comes first.

European Commission Clears €149m Swedish Aid Scheme for Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture

The European Commission has approved a €149 million (nearly $171 million) Swedish State aid scheme to support agricultural, fishing and aquaculture companies facing higher fuel and fertilizer costs linked to the war in the Middle East.

USPOULTRY Foundation Provides $331,292 in Grants to Support Student Recruitment

The USPOULTRY Foundation awarded student recruiting grants totaling $331,292 to six U.S. universities with Poultry Science departments and 21 other institutions with industry-related programs. The Foundation provides annual recruiting and retention funds to colleges and universities to attract or connect students to their poultry programs or the industry.
