NPB and Partners Receive $155 Million from USDA Climate-Smart Program

NPB is a collaborator on three separate grants awarded by USDA that support climate-smart pork production.

The National Pork Board (NPB) is the lead of one and a collaborator on two grants receiving $155 million in USDA Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities funding announced Sept. 14, 2022.

The three grants are part of the $2.8 billion awarded to 70 selected projects in the first round of funding for the program.

NPB Elects New 2022-2023 Officers

NPB Announces New Staff Leadership Positions

Pork Industry Grooms Future Leaders

The National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board have kicked off the 2022 class of Pork Leadership Institute (PLI), a jointly funded and organized training curriculum designed to develop future leaders for the U.S. pork industry.

SHIC Receives Pork Checkoff Funding for Program Extension to 2027

The National Pork Board of directors has approved an additional $15 million investment of Pork Checkoff funds in the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) extending funding through 2027.

Launched with Checkoff funds in 2015, SHIC works to protect and enhance the health of the U.S. swine herd. This is done through coordinated global disease monitoring, targeted research investments that minimize the impact of future disease threats and analysis of swine health data.
