Vertical Cold Storage, a developer and operator of temperature-controlled distribution centers sponsored by real estate investment firm Platform Ventures, has purchased Arctic Logistics in Canton, MI. The acquisition is the fifth new Vertical Cold facility in the past year, making it the sixth largest cold storage company in North America. Terms were not disclosed.

Vertical Cold Storage Opens 10th Facility in Kansas City

Vertical Cold Storage, in collaboration with Platform Ventures, a real estate investment firm, has officially launched its 10th facility, a state-of-the-art multi-distribution center in Kansas City.

The facility is strategically located at 14820 Cleveland Ave, Kansas City, MO, next to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) intermodal terminal and within 30 miles of key BNSF, Union Pacific, and Norfolk Southern rail terminals.

CJ Logistics America, a leading innovative supply chain and technology company, announced today that it will be opening a new cold storage warehouse in New Century, Kansas, just 30 miles outside of Kansas City. Developed in a joint venture by Yukon Real Estate Partners, a national cold storage developer, and BGO, a global leader in cold storage real estate, the project boasts a rail-served 291,000 square foot warehouse complete with Alta EXPERT refrigeration and is targeted to open its doors in Q3 2025.
