Schnucks Launches Curbside Pickup at Four St. Louis-Area Stores

Feature will expand to more stores in 2019; Service is in partnership with Instacart

Schnuck Markets, Inc. today announced it now offers customers the option of curbside pickup at four St. Louis-area stores, with plans to expand to four additional stores in January 2019. Future plans will see curbside pickup added throughout the St. Louis area, including the metro east, as well as other geographic areas served by Schnucks.

With curbside pickup, Schnucks customers order groceries online, and at a time chosen by the customer, the items are delivered to the customer’s vehicle in the store parking lot. Instacart Unveils National Expansion of New "Instacart Pickup" Grocery Service

Instacart, the North American leader in online groceries, today announced the national expansion of Instacart Pickup, a new grocery click-and-collect service. Instacart Pickup gives customers the convenience of both delivery and/or pickup options, allowing them to order through Instacart and pick up their groceries from their favorite retailer. Retail Feedback Group Online Grocery Shopper Study Finds Growing Number Purchasing Fresh Food Items

Supermarkets Continue to Lag Behind Amazon and Walmart in Key Satisfaction Measures

The Retail Feedback Group (RFG), a leader in providing actionable stakeholder feedback, today released the 2018 U.S. Online Grocery Shopper Study. This year's research found about half of online shoppers plan to purchase grocery items more often in the coming year and rate their overall satisfaction ordering food and grocery items online highest with Amazon (4.70 on a five-point scale where five is highest), followed by Walmart (4.54) and Supermarkets/Food Stores (4.36). The research also captured generational differences with online shopping for food and groceries, finding Boomers are the most satisfied (4.65), followed by Gen X (4.51) and Millennials (4.43)...

Retailer launching e-commerce and same-day online delivery solutions coast to coast

Walmart Canada Teams Up with Instacart to Offer Same-day Grocery 

Delivery in as Fast as an Hour to Greater Toronto Area and Winnipeg Customers

MISSISSAUGA, ON: Walmart Canada announced today that select regions in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Winnipeg will be eligible for same-day grocery delivery through Instacart, a North American leader in online groceries. The service is available in the GTA today, followed by Winnipeg on September 27 as part of a pilot program between the two companies.

Online grocery orders from Walmart Canada can now be delivered same-day by Instacart to customers' homes in as fast as one hour in the GTA and Winnipeg.
