A warm, cozy, crackling fireplace - that smells like fried chicken? KFC is selling a limited-edition firelog that will fill your home with the scent of the Colonel’s Original Recipe fried chicken.

Just in time for winter, KFC is bringing the heat.

Kentucky Fried Chicken doesn't have a new spicy sandwich but rather a firelog that smells like its fried chicken.

The limited edition 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog costs $18.99 and is available while supplies last at www.kfcfirelogs.com. The price includes tax, shipping and handling.

Tony Lowings Promoted to KFC Division CEO, Effective January 1, 2019

Lowings Will Succeed Roger Eaton Who is Retiring

Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) on Friday announced the promotion of Tony Lowings, 60, to KFC Division Chief Executive Officer, reporting to Yum! Brands Chief Executive Officer, Greg Creed, effective January 1, 2019. Lowings, a 24-year veteran of the Company, who currently serves as KFC Division President and Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Roger Eaton who is retiring at the end of 2018.

In this new role, Lowings will assume global responsibility for driving the brand strategy and performance of KFC. KFC is the world’s most popular chicken restaurant brand with more than $24 billion in global system sales and more than 21,000 restaurants in over 130 countries and territories as of year-end 2017. KFC Shuts More Stores in Chicken Chaos

KFC has closed more of its outlets in the UK after delivery problems meant it ran out of chicken.

Its website shows that 646 of the fast-food chain's 900 outlets in its UK-based division were shut as of 11:25 on Tuesday morning.

That compares with 575 that were closed at 21:00 on Monday.

Last week, the fried chicken chain switched its delivery contract to DHL, which has blamed "operational issues" for the supply disruption.

It is not yet clear how many outlets will open for business later on Tuesday.
