Kroger Announces Leadership Changes

The Kroger Co. today announced the retirement of Mark Tuffin, senior vice president of retail divisions, after more than 26 years of distinguished service, effective April 1. Tuffin will be succeeded by Kenny Kimball, currently president of the Smith's division.

Retail Import Growth Levels Out But Volume Remains High

After a year of unprecedented increases, imports at the nation’s major retail container ports are expected to return to normal growth rates in 2022 but volumes will remain high, according to the monthly Global Port Tracker report released today by the National Retail Federation and Hackett Associates.

Kroger Promotes Laura Gump to Houston Division President

The Kroger Co. announced today Laura Gump, formerly vice president of merchandising for the Houston division, has been promoted to president of the division. She succeeds Joe Kelley who was recently named president of King Soopers.

Sanderson Farms Increases Pay Rates for Hourly Employees

Sanderson Farms, Inc. announced today that it has increased pay rates for the company's hourly employees as of Sunday, September 26. Today, Publix Super Markets President Kevin Murphy announced the promotion of John Goff to Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, effective Jan. 1, 2022.
