Hearthside Food Recalls 489,887 Pounds of Misbranded Sausage and Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches
Hearthside Food Solutions is recalling approximately 489,887 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) sausage and bacon breakfast sandwiches. According to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), these products are being recalled due to misbranding. The sandwiches contain sesame, a known allergen, which was not listed on the product labels.

FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Undeclared Allergen in Pasty Oven Products
The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for misbranding and undeclared allergens related to certain products from The Pasty Oven, Inc. The issue was discovered during a routine label inspection.

UP Products, LLC, doing business as Meyer Wholesale, a Ewen, Mich. establishment, is recalling approximately 400 pounds of sausage products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
