Hurricane Florence Poses Industry Complications, Dangerous Conditions
Evacuations have been ordered in parts of the southeastern United States today as Hurricane Florence picks up strength. The National Hurricane Center projects dangerous storm surge and flooding in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Hurricane-force winds are expected along portions of the Carolinas and have the potential to spread inland and into Virginia as well.
CNN is reporting that state government offices, which includes schools and medical facilities, will be closed in 26 counties, impacting roughly one million people. Furthermore, the entire mid-Atlantic region is undergoing storm advisories and preparations.
