Beef cold storage volumes for the month of August increased. This bucks the previous three-year trend where volumes decreased heading into August. This increase can be attributed to boneless beef, as beef cuts actually declined and are at levels below the previous three years. Boneless material, on the other hand, rose above the previous three years, which is an interesting standout, as the monthly volume of imports was the second lowest for the year.
