ANALYSIS: New Zealand’s August 2026 Beef Exports Ease as Tight Supply Checks China Growth
New Zealand's beef exports fell 17.4% month-on-month (MOM) to 33,319 MT in August 2026, a seasonal retreat consistent with the off-peak production window, according to the latest Stats NZ data.
The 12.6% year-on-year (YOY) gain lifted eight-month cumulative exports to 355,763 MT, up 7.6% YOY, accelerating from July's 7.1% pace.
