ANALYSIS: H1 2026 EU Egg Exports Steady, as Swiss Demand Balances Weaker UK and Japan
EU egg exports in egg-equivalent weight, excluding hatching eggs, were broadly stable in the first half of 2026, with total shipments of 202,398 tons in H1 2026 compared with 200,227 tons a year earlier, a 1.1%. The aggregate figures reflect a continuation of the pattern observed earlier in the year, with total volumes hovering close to prior-year levels while the distribution across key destinations continues to shift. Exports to Switzerland more than doubled while volumes to the UK and Japan both declined.
