ANALYSIS: Australia's Korean Beef Safeguard Quota Hits 100% in Record 202 DaysThe preferential trade window for Australian beef in Korea has officially closed for the year.
According to Korea Customs Service data announced today, the 196,050 metric ton (MT) Korea-Australia Free Trade Agreement (KAFTA) safeguard quota reached 100% exhaustion on July 21, 2026. The quota was filled in just 202 days, compared to 255 days in 2025.
