Remembering William Harold (Bill) Prestage
William “Bill” Harold Prestage, the founder in 1983 of USAPEEC member Prestage Farms, died on Oct. 10 in Clinton, N.C. He was 87. A Michigan native, Prestage moved South to the Carolinas where he sold feed in the 1960s and then partnered with chicken and hog producer Otis Carroll to form Carroll’s Foods.
