Grocery stores were one of the few winners during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mandatory lockdowns had people sheltering in place. And while grocery stores were deemed “essential,” there was also a fear of going out and contracting the virus. Those stores that had online shopping in place - or added it early on - found even greater success.
