Trump Threatens Tariffs on Canada After Its China Deal
President Trump threatened an escalation in a brewing trade war against Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's government, warning the U.S. would impose 100% tariffs on all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S. if "Canada makes a deal with China."
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Saturday that if "Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a 'Drop Off Port' for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken."
