ANALYSIS: US Turkey Cold Storage Slips in August as Whole Bird Supplies Stay Historically
Total cold storage of US turkey meat was down 2.2% year-over-year (YOY) in August at 394.0 million pounds. This was a 3.1% month-over-month (MOM) decline from July, when the 5-year average MOM change is an increase of 0.2%. Much of this change can be attributed to whole birds.
