ANALYSIS: Australian Beef Export Growth Cools in Q3 2026 as China, Korea Shipments Retreat
Australia's beef export growth lost momentum through the third quarter of 2026 as safeguard restrictions across two major North Asian markets began to chisel away at the strong gains recorded earlier in the year.
Third-quarter exports totaled 404,454 metric tons (MT), down 4.8% year-on-year (YOY) from 425,016 MT in Q3 2025 and 8.1% from Q2's 440,179 MT, according to data from Australia's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).
