ANALYSIS: Improved Competitiveness Supports US Chicken Exports
US broiler exports totaled 531.9 million pounds in June, up 2.7% from a year ago but 2.3% below May, according to the latest USDA trade data. The monthly decline largely followed normal seasonal direction, with the five-year average showing a 2.0% decrease from May to June. Even with the annual improvement, June shipments remained roughly 6.3% below the five-year average, suggesting export movement has strengthened without fully returning to historical throughput levels.
