ANALYSIS: No Letup as Broiler Hatchery Activity Holds at Record Levels
US broiler hatchery activity continues to run above already elevated year ago levels, reinforcing the scale of production capacity currently moving through the pipeline. Through early August, both eggs set and chicks placed have remained consistently above 2025 for much of the year. That comparison is particularly notable given that 2025 itself represented a record production year.
Several factors have helped support the continued expansion.
