European Commission Clears €149m Swedish Aid Scheme for Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture
The European Commission has approved a €149 million (nearly $171 million) Swedish State aid scheme to support agricultural, fishing and aquaculture companies facing higher fuel and fertilizer costs linked to the war in the Middle East.
The support was cleared under the Middle East Crisis Temporary State Aid Framework (METSAF), adopted by the Commission in April, which is designed to address the impact of the crisis on the sectors most affected.
