ANALYSIS: Turkey Export Data Highlights Production Recovery Amid Middle East-Driven Trade Volatility
Total exports of US turkey were up 3.6% year-over-year (YOY) in March, which speaks to how much more available production is this year compared to last. The top four destinations for US turkey showed the same YOY trend, with Jamaica reporting the largest volume increase at 113.8%. With the industry experiencing less disease-related issues, more production is available to go overseas, which has certainly been evident through this year as total year-to-date exports are up 19.2% YOY.
