ANALYSIS: US Pork Exports Show Seasonal Softness in January, Maintains Year Over Year Growth
The most recent US Department of Agriculture (USDA) US pork export data, covering January 2026, showed total exports at 589,972,000 pounds, declining 2.1% month over month (MOM) but 2.3% higher year over year (YOY). The modest monthly reduction is considered reflective of seasonal adjustments following year-end shipment activity, particularly as post-holiday demand moderates and evolving consumption patterns begin to influence nearby markets.
