Wisconsin Pork Producers Get PRRS and PEDv Testing Relief
The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) has announced that the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has approved its request for a waiver related to swine movement rules tied to Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) and Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDv).
The waiver immediately suspends testing and movement requirements previously outlined under Wisconsin Administrative Code ATCP 10 and 12. Earlier this year, a draft rule modifying these requirements was approved by the DATCP Board on January 29 and later by the governor on February 6.
