Today [January 24, 2026], the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA), in coordination with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS), confirmed a positive case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in a second commercial poultry flock in Walker County, Georgia.
