ANALYSIS: A Wrap on 2025 US Beef Production
Meat production has trended lower annually since 2022, with 2025 experiencing a 3.4% decrease. Over the past ten years, 2022-2023 marked the only other production decline more severe, at approximately 4%. Throughout the entire year, 2025 was only above 2024 levels on a monthly average basis for January, March, and December. Beyond those months, levels trailed the 2024 levels, with the largest differences being roughly 7.5% in both May and September.
