Sainsbury's Raises Free-Cash-Flow Outlook After Sales Growth
J Sainsbury raised its outlook for retail free cash flow in fiscal 2026, and reaffirmed guidance for retail underlying operating profit, after reporting an increase in sales for the third quarter and Christmas period.
The FTSE 100-listed company raised its guidance for retail cash flow of more than 550 million pounds ($739.2 million), having previously guided for more than 500 million pounds.
Sainsbury's also backed previous expectations for retail adjusted operating profit—a metric stripping out exceptional and other one-off items—expecting it to come above 1 billion pounds for the 2026 fiscal year ending March.
