Spain: Swine Fever and Other Challenges for the Department of Agriculture in 2026
The year 2025 has been marked by diseases in the livestock sector that have threatened the viability of some companies and have even compromised the exports of part of the territory to non-EU countries. Avian influenza (also known as bird flu), lumpy skin disease or African swine fever have been challenges that the Catalan public administration has had to face at the end of the year.
