United States: Cattle Markets Watch Trends in Beef

Beef prices continue to remain in focus for the cattle industry heading into the new year.

University of Tennessee Livestock Marketing Specialist Andrew Griffith said seasonal trends can play a role in beef prices, although some weakness in beef prices heading into the strong holiday demand time was not a great sign.

"Wholesale beef prices have been anything but stellar leading up to the strongest demand period for the winter months," Griffith said.
