Bird Flu Outbreak Hits Breckland Poultry Farm - Norfolk's Ninth Case in a Month
A bird flu outbreak has sparked a mass cull of poultry at another Breckland farm after Norfolk recorded its ninth case of the devastating virus within the last month.
The highly pathogenic H5N1 strain of avian influenza was confirmed in a large commercial poultry premises near Mundford, between Thetford and Swaffham, on November 25.
Defra says all poultry on the infected premises will be humanely culled, while a 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone have also been declared around the site...
