ANALYSIS: Turkey Breast Prices Break Correlation Pattern
In the turkey market, there is a disconnect between the value of breast meat and bone-in breasts. During November, the five-year average price difference between fresh tom breast meat and 8-10 lb. institutional-sized breasts hovers between $3.39 and $3.42. This year, the difference for the week prior to Thanksgiving sits at $5.18, 51.5% higher than the five-year average.
