Philippines: Farmers Affected by Typhoon Get Aid From City Government
The City Agriculture Department (CAD) has intensified its support for upland farmers affected by Typhoon Tino, distributing farm inputs and facilitating crop insurance claims to help communities recover quickly.
City Agriculturist Joey Baclayon, together with CAD’s technical team, visited farms in Lusaran, Paril, Sudlon II, Malubog, Buhisan, Pamutan, and Sapangdaku to personally check on farmers and deliver seeds, fertilizers, and basic supplies.
Among those assisted was Adones Atuel, an Outstanding Farmer awardee from Barangay Cambinocot, whose crops were destroyed and whose livestock was swept away during the onslaught...
