Carrefour Third-Quarter Sales Growth Slows in France and Brazil
Carrefour, Europe's largest food retailer, reported weaker third-quarter sales growth due to price cuts in France and high interest rates hurting consumer demand in Brazil, but stuck to its financial targets for the year.
Group sales reached 22.6 billion euros ($26.36 billion) in the third quarter, up 2.1% from a year ago, a slowdown from 4.4% growth in the second quarter.
