ANALYSIS: Cage-Free Values Continue to Decline Amid Weak Demand
The cage-free market remained under pressure this week as demand along the West Coast—the region that pulls the highest volume of cage-free product—continued to sit at a standstill. With limited needs from mandated states, cage-free product has been routinely down-packed into conventional channels. For a time, this kept values aligned with the conventional Midwest large, but with conventional demand also softening, the market has entered a deeper lull.
