Dairy Cattle Herd Fights Bird Flu With IV Hydration
Cows in the central Nebraska dairy herd that are infected with the bird flu are being treated as if they've been admitted to the local hospital's intensive care unit.
The cows are getting hydrated by IV and receiving a lot of medicine and attention in case their condition changes, said Kris Bousquet, executive director of the Nebraska State Dairy Association.
