USDA Raises Corn Production Outlook to Record
The Agriculture Department raised its outlook for how much corn will be produced by U.S. farmers this year, this despite trimming its projection for average corn yields per acre.
In the agency's latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report published Friday, the USDA said that it forecasts 16.81 billion bushels of corn to be produced by farmers in the 2025-26 marketing year-which began at the start of the month. The projection is up from 16.74 billion bushels forecast last month, and remains well above the 2023 record high...
