Pig Farming Sector Warns of Risks of Importing Pork from Brazil
The Association of Pig Producers of Ecuador (ASPE) and the Association of Livestock Producers of El Oro (Appor) warned this month that the possible importation of pork from Brazil would jeopardize the sustainability of the national sector, which currently covers 97% of domestic consumption, generates more than 380,000 jobs and contributes to the country's food security.
