Arla Boosting Cheese Jar Production in Bahrain
Arla Foods has announced plans to boost production of spreadable cheese jars made at its facility in Bahrain by 30%.
Justifying its EUR 50.9 million investment decision, the farmer-owned cooperative explains that “demand is especially high during Ramadan and back-to-school seasons and during these peaks, production at the site in Bahrain is almost at capacity.” Packaged in glass jars, Arla’s Puck® brand has become a leader in spreadable cheese in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Construction is set to begin at the end of 2025.
