ANALYSIS: June Turkey Harvest Breaks Record Low Streak
The turkey slaughter data for June is noteworthy, as it marks the first time since August of last year that a new record seasonal low has not been set. This June's total number of turkeys harvested was 5% above June 2024. Additionally, there was a month-over-month (MOM) increase of 7.4%, compared to a 5-year average MOM decline of 3.8% for this time frame.
