CDFA Releases Guidance on Pork Sales Following Proposition 12 Ruling
The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Animal Care Program released an FAQ related to pork sales following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Proposition 12.
The housing requirements for a breeding pig under Proposition 12 went into effect on January 1, 2022. Enforcement of that provision was enjoined in February 2022 but that injunction is set to expire on July 1, 2023.
