Shoppers Continue to Seek Value-Added Meat at Retail Following Pandemic Boom
The start of the pandemic in 2020 shifted consumers' eating patterns away from dining out towards eating in due to social distancing and other restrictions. Value-added meat benefited from this changeover since households increasingly looked towards convenience when cooking at home.
While the majority of pandemic-related restrictions on dining out have since been lifted, value-added meat continued to see strong retail pull following the initial boom three years ago.
