Before the Butcher has been around since September 2017, but it seems like they’ve been in play for quite a while as business has been very solid over the last several years. “I started the company in San Diego after I left Beyond Meat, where I had been for three years,” noted Founder and President Danny O’Malley. His initial focus was on eight products which he thought was a nice beginning for a startup company and it was all food service, which worked out well as his background was foodservice.
