Fire at Tyson Foods Plant, Some Injuries Reported
According to the Nashville Fire Department, a fire broke out at a Tyson Foods chicken plant in Nashville, Arkansas, located in Howard County. Firefighters arrived just after 2 a.m., where they found a fire located in a building separate from the main processing plant. Local reports claim that the employees were at the plant when the fire started, and two employees were injured and are receiving medical attention.
Worth Sparkman, a spokesperson for Tyson Foods, stated that company officials and firefighters are determining the cause of the fire, and operations at the plant on July 9 are limited to harvesting and deboning with further processing at the plant temporarily suspended as the investigation continues.
