DOJ Pledges to Ramp Up Battle Against Unfair Practices in Meeting with U.S. Farmers
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division hosted 30 farmers affiliated with the National Farmers Union (NFU) to discuss “the state of competition in agriculture markets and strengthening antitrust enforcement.”
The DOJ said it remains committed to fighting for fair business in the food systems and protecting farmers, fishers, ranchers and the like as the industry continues to consolidate.
