Foodservice, Drinking Places Help Propel US Employment Boost in June
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics said notable job gains were seen in the foodservice and drinking places sector for the month of June.
Overall, nonfarm payroll employment jumped 850,000 in June. In June, nonfarm payroll employment is up by 15.6 million since April 2020 but is down by 6.8 million, or 4.4%, from its pre-pandemic level in February 2020.
