ANALYSIS: Tri-Tips Feeling the Burn of Seasonality
Tri-Tips entered the year at the highest level on record for January at $3.75/lb. well above the 10-year average of $3.37/lb. From there it looked like we would see normal seasonal patterns play out, which they did although to a lesser extent. We began to see buyers begin to scale orders starting in March until May where it met resistance around $4.75/lb.
